I have always loved animals. 

When I look into my cats big golden eyes and hear his wonderful rumbly purr, I feel a warmth spreading through my heart that only comes from loving an animal and having their love in return. In a world that can be harsh and unforgiving, animals offer us a sense of comfort and unconditional love that is hard to find elsewhere. They remind us of the simple pleasures in life – a warm snuggle on the couch, a happy wag of a tail, a purr of contentment. They make us better people, by teaching us the value of empathy, compassion, and responsibility. They ask for so little in return. They trust us to provide proper pet care, a good home, and love. 

This belief led me to pursue my love of animals into higher education. I received a Bachelors of Science in Animal & Poultry Science from Virginia Tech focusing on animal behavior. In my adult life I have worked at an emergency veterinary clinic, managed a variety of pet stores, volunteered at wildlife rehabilitation centers, and fostered German Shepherds for a rescue organization. We currently have 2 big fluffy cats, Apollo and Aku and hope to bring a dog into our lives when the time is right. We will be getting chickens again soon once we have a proper set up at our new house. My goal is to show every client why we are the trusted choice for pet sitting in South Shore Nova Scotia, caring for your pets like they’re our own.
